Christmas Show - Ralph The Reindeer 🦌🎅

The boys were amazing on both days of our Christmas Show. They worked super hard learning their lines and songs and it was great to see them on stage. Here is a sneak peak of them behind the scenes.

The boys made rainbow explosions, a storm in a glass and lava lamps. 

Aistear - The Doctor's Surgery 🧑‍⚕️🥼🩺💉

We had lots of fun during role-play and the doctor's were very kind and gentle. The boys were amazing at washing the babies and bringing them to the doctor for a check-up. Well done boys. 

Maths Week ➕🟰

We were very busy this week with lots of playful maths activities. The boys were finding shapes around the school, making shapes with lollipop sticks and measuring.

Aistear - The Firestation 🚒🧯👩‍🚒🔥

Take a look at our brave firefighters helping children stuck in an upstairs bedroom during a fire, extinguishing the fire in the kitchen and taping off a dangerous area following a car crash. The boys really loved wearing the costumes and sensory play on the tuff tray using shaving foam and paint. 

Music Generation 🎶🎵🎷🎺

Derek from Music Generation will be with us every Tuesday this year. He will be teaching the boys various musical skills. They love learning rhymes and taking turns using the glockenspiel. 

Home 🏠

Our last Aistear topic for September was all about the "Home". The boys worked in the kitchen preparing food, built a house with big blocks in construction and played with the furniture in the different rooms of the house. The highlight of the week was definitely making and eating yummy toast. Take a look at the happy faces and full bellies. 

Aistear - Goldilocks and the Three Bears 👧🐻

Our first Aistear topic this year was "Goldilocks and the Three Bears". The boys built the cottage and the chairs for the bears, made bears with brown crepe paper, worked on their cutting skills and role-played the story. Aistear is a framework for learning through play. Children develop memory skills, build vocabulary and learn new skills in a fun and engaging environment. 

Stations are fun, fun, fun!

It has been a very busy first two weeks in Senior Infants. The boys have loved seeing all their friends again and getting to know their new teacher. We had lots of fun learning during Maths and Literacy stations. Well done boys! 👍
