February started with an exciting visit from Mike Byrne. The boys got the opportunity to create stop motion films using clay and iPads. The boys had to create the characters for their movie and plan a storyline. Using careful photography and placement we created short stopmotion films. The films were published by Mike on Youtube and can be viewed by searching for 'Lets Animate with Mike'. Look at us filmmakers at work.
As Spring time is here we had a big job to do in first class and that was to get out try to tidy up and weed our school flower beds. The definitely had grown wild since last year. The boys put on their gardening gloves and got to work pulling unwanted weeds. This weeding was very important as we prepare to set some new plants/vegetables.
