Active Home Week 2020
This year we took part in the Active Home Week instead of our usual Active School Week. The boys were set a challenge a day for the whole week which consisted of exercise and various skill challenges. The boys really enjoyed taking part in Active Home Week. 🏃♀️🏃♀️

Monday: Active Home Week Challenge 1!
For the first challenge of the week the boys had to complete a series of exercises by following the Active Week Chart! Today the boys had to complete the exercises that spelled the words ACTIVE WEEK.

Tuesday: Active Home Week Challenge 2!
Today's challenge: Hand passing What we need: Any kind of ball and a wall!
Directions:
Stand facing the wall holding the ball in one hand. Swing our hand back and guide the ball towards the wall. Catch the ball in one hand (or two!) and go again!
Challenge:
How many times can you hand-pass the ball against the wall using your left hand? How many times can you hand-pass the ball against the wall using your right hand?

Wednesday: Active Home Week Challenge 3!
The Plank!
The plank is a great exercise to help make our stomach and back strong which is very important as you are all growing boys! What you will need: A pillow/cushion to put under your elbows!
Directions:
Place the cushion on the ground. Place your elbows on the cushion. Push your feet back and keep your hips lifted! Challenge: Can you hold the plank for 30 seconds? (Count to 30 with the person doing the activity with you!)

Squat Jumps & Climb the Rope!
Squat jumps are a great exercise to build strength in our legs! Climb the Rope is a really good exercise to do for our fitness!
Directions:
Squat Jump: Stand with your feet shoulder with apart. Squat down & jump up as high as you can.
Climb the Rope: Start to climb an imaginary rope over your head. Start jogging on the spot while climbing. See how fast you can climb!
Challenge 1: How many squat jumps can you do in 40 seconds?
Challenge 2: Can you climb the rope as fast as you can for 1 minute?
