Absences
In line with the Education Welfare Act 2000, every absence by a child must be explained by a parent/guardian.
Explanations are provided to the class teacher and are retained.
Section 21 of the Education Act 2000 places an obligation on the school to notify the Education Welfare Officer of absences exceeding 20 school days.
Please use the attached links on the home page to each class's google from to inform the class teacher of your child's absences.
School uniform
Maroon jumper, light grey shirt, grey trousers and a striped tie.
School Tracksuit: Maroon tracksuit and white t-shirt.
We advise you to chose footwear with velcro, if possible, as laces are too difficult for younger children to use.
Please label all your child's school clothing.
Healthy Eating
We encourage the boys to eat a healthy lunch. We recommend a piece of fruit or cheese for small break.
Fizzy drinks, chewing gum, frubes, sweets and crisps are forbidden in school.
Anti-bullying
At St. Michael's J.B.S. all pupils have the right to learn in a caring and safe environment. Any bullying complaints will be dealt with promptly and fairly. Through the S.P.H.E curriculum, pupils are taught skills on how to deal with bullying and are encouraged to report any incident of bullying.
